Professor Arikan’s research focuses on signal processing for remote sensing problems. Specifically, his work features new localization, environment mapping, and tracking methods for underwater acoustic and indoor radio frequency applications. Professor Arikan is currently exploring deep learning methods to solve long-standing open problems in remote sensing. His interests also include digital communications in challenging environments.
